Eli Gottlieb joined Thornton Tomasetti in 1996, and is currently the Co-Regional Leader of the New York Metropolitan Region. His experience includes structural analysis, design, and review of a wide variety of structures—new and existing—including commercial buildings, hotels, sports facilities, historic structures, and cultural and academic facilities.
A leader in Thornton Tomasetti’s Structural Engineering practice, Eli Gottlieb has worked on technically challenging and creative projects around the world. He leads the engineering of the 10-acre platform at The Hudson Yards as well as The Shed, which created a new paradigm for flexible cultural and performance space. Eli’s portfolio also includes the Sunnyside Yards Masterplan effort, Wertheimer Laboratory at the University of Florida, 5, 7 and 11 Times Square, New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York, the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in Ann Arbor, and Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
